The company

REWE-ZENTRALFINANZ eG is a German cooperative (eingetragene Genossenschaft) registered in Köln in 2024. We are deliberately small, deliberately independent, and deliberately not trying to be everything to everyone. Our work is Google Ads consultancy — Search, Performance Max, Display, Shopping, Video and account audits.

Why a cooperative

The cooperative legal form is unusual for a consultancy of this kind, but we chose it intentionally. It places the long-term interest of the members above short-term shareholder return, requires audited annual accounts, and constrains the kind of growth-at-all-costs incentives that have, in our view, damaged the wider digital marketing industry. It is a quieter way to run a small firm, and it suits the work.

Where we work from

Our office is at Domstraße 20 in central Köln. We meet clients in person when it is useful — most of the actual work, like most knowledge work, happens through screens and email. We currently serve clients across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and a small number further afield in the EU.

Languages

We work fluently in English and German. We can review accounts and write reports in either. For client teams whose internal working language is something else (French, Dutch, Polish), English is usually the common ground for written reporting.

What we are honest about

We were founded recently — in 2024 — so anyone telling you we have "a decade of experience as a company" would be misrepresenting things. The people doing the work have longer individual backgrounds in digital advertising, but the firm itself is young, and we would rather you knew that than discover it later.

We are not in any of Google's formal partner programmes. The Google Partner badge has specific criteria around spend volume, account count and certification — useful as a signal for some agencies, but not something we have pursued or claim. We will help you with your Google Ads work either way; the badge does not change what is in the account.

Who we work with

Mostly small and mid-sized European businesses: e-commerce retailers, B2B service firms, software companies, and a small number of professional-services practices. We do not publish client logos without written permission, and most of our clients prefer that we don't. References are available on request to serious enquiries.

What we don't do

We do not work in adult content, gambling, cryptocurrency speculation products, payday lending, multi-level marketing, or any category that requires us to misrepresent a product to Google's policy review. We are happy to explain why if you'd like.
